The story behind the work:

When I visit a beach I often collect colorful rocks and sea glass. I've always done this and stored them away, but why? What draws me to each little stone and why is it important?

I began thinking of other things we collect and lovingly store throughout our lives. Feelings, memories, words said in passion, thoughts that perhaps could just as well be left alone, and yet… we store them away in our hearts and carry them on.
